2021/10 I bought an iMac 27 '

I used a low-end MacBook Pro 15 '2018 before. 16G memory is enough for ordinary use. If the web page is opened too much, the swap will be about 2-4G, which is an acceptable level. There is also a low-end M1 Mac mini, which is basically used as a NAS. After I started fiddling with the camera, the problem occurred. Affinity Photo + A7R3 caused the swap to always go to 8G. Although it was not unusable, it was very uncomfortable to use, so I had the idea of changing the computer. Another problem is that when this MacBook Pro is connected to an external monitor, there is a high probability that it will not wake up once it sleeps, and the fan will start to turn soon. You need to replug and unplug the monitor, or unplug the monitor from the computer and close the cover to solve it. The most exaggerated time was one morning when I didn't know if I received an email or something, the computer was awakened, and the sound of the fan directly woke me up. After looking around, it's actually not a good time for me to buy a Mac during this time: -The maximum memory of M1 Mac can only be added to 16G, exclude all directly -All customizations of the new MacBook Pro have to wait at least a month, and I don't need the performance of the M1 Pro/Max. The bottleneck lies in the memory, and I wonder if I will encounter the external monitor problems encountered by this current MacBook Pro -Intel Mac mini's HD630 is not enough In the end, only the iMac 27 is left. In fact, iMac 27 'is not a good choice either. The frame is too large. Although it doesn't affect actual use, it takes up space on the monitor. The tenth generation Intel is really not so good. Another problem is that it can only pick up a 5K, meaning my other 4K monitor won't work. Yesterday, the MacBook Pro and Mac mini in my handle were trade-in. I changed to this iMac 27 'mid-range. After I got it back, I directly plugged in 64G memory. I tried to open 10 RAW pictures at a time with Affinity Photo. compressed and swap are 0 until now. As for the computer itself, the performance doesn't feel like anything. I don't use it to work. I only use it to do my own thing, watch videos and retouch pictures. As for the screen of the iMac itself, there is no need to say much, but to be honest, I don't see any obvious difference in color between it and the LG 5k2k... Now I am extremely disgusted with the low profile of the 2019 MacBook Pro 16 'released by the company. It is really frugality. Every time I call, the memory explodes to the point that it is almost unusable. Maybe a new iMac next year is too far away for me, and if what rumor said is true, I guess I can't afford the price. Now this configuration, plus a MacBook Air/low-end MacBook Pro is enough. Let's wait until Black Friday to see what good deals there are. PS: Let me complain about Apple tax. It costs $1,000 to buy an iMac on apple.com and add 64G of memory. If I buy it myself, it costs less than $300 after tax. It's all the same DDR4 2666, which is too exaggerated...

There are no requirements for the screen, so we should wait for next year's high-end mac mini or mac pro mini

😂 lz, do you want to return my machine? The mid-range i7 machine also comes with apple care. I'm moving soon, and my iMac is not easy to carry.

@ Anonymous4617 lol I won't return it if there is no serious problem. If I really want to return it, I still don't know how to deal with the two Macs in trade-in Find a moving company for moving, save worry and effort

Liu Haiping vs. Even if there is a one centimeter wide border, I will choose the latter. A bunch of people shout for narrow borders and narrow borders every day, and as a result, they called bangs! Gan. I am currently using an iMac 27 '2019 in my hand, and I want to replace it with an iMac 27' 2020. I can recycle the old machine without a place.

I feel embarrassed every time the iMac external screen is connected, the arm that can be done with arm is very expensive I totally understand your final pain point though! I may have to buy a laptop for my own use soon. I have no idea which one to buy m1 cannot connect 2 4k 14 Customization waiting too long If you don't wait, the 14 version doesn't have the 32g version, which feels a little thicker Too sad

Every time I call, the memory explodes to the point that it is almost unusable. Visually, it's from a hemp factory? Not to mention 16G memory, a certain volume factory released the MBP16 high-end configuration with 32G memory. The intranet is full of complaints and brushes Nikkei posts all day long. Until 2022, employees of first-tier manufacturers in the United States are still forced to use electronic waste from 2019 to adapt to infra. The M1 chip cannot be replaced directly. Objectively speaking, these people have been victims of Apple's fruit core in the past two years.

@ Anonymous4618 If you say that, you don't make sense [funny]

@ Anonymous1575 I now put my iMac on the left and 5k2k in the middle. I also feel embarrassed but there seems to be no good way lol And you should have a much larger budget than mine, so just place an order for 14. When I bought the iMac, I played with the 14-inch. Except for the aluminum lunch box, it's actually quite good, especially the screen. @ Anonymous4619 I'm pretty good. I hit the banana factory as soon as it started changing to 16 inches. Those who hold 13 inches are really miserable... But I feel that if you can send me a 32G 16 inches, I don't complain. Now the main reason is that there is not enough memory. Firefox has to eat ten gigabytes of memory at every turn, and IntelliJ IDEA is stuck at every turn. In fact, I want to bring my own device...

@ Poster > Put iMac on the left, 5k2k in the middle yikes my neck ached a bit while reading.... Why don't you try that high arm put the iMac on it facing your face... > And you should budget a lot more than mine It laughs to death, but if you want to buy your own mobile phone, you should consider Black Friday Walmart's $299 iPhone 12 Mini And everyone's income is similar, and you can buy whatever you want to buy, it's just a habit of spending money 🤷 ♂ ️ There's no need to say that I have a large budget hahaha I just want a 12-inch MacBook, or a 13-inch air that can use two 4k. I shouldn't use the extra weight and thickness of 14 to surf the Internet... Alas... But it does also drool 120hz miniled...

@ Anonymous4618 You could just turn off the webpage, really.

@ Anonymous1575 > Why don't you try that high arm put the iMac on it facing your face... 5k2k is my home screen. After all, I have to connect to my work computer. If I really want to go up and down, don't work... Although the iMac is on the left, I use it more like a Mac mini. Unless I retouch pictures and watch TV, I won't watch this screen. > If I want to buy my own mobile phone, I should consider the $299 iPhone 12 Mini at Walmart on Black Friday Don't buy 12 mini, 13mini users sincerely recommend 13mini, not to mention what 64G is enough for now... > I just want a 12-inch MacBook, or a 13-inch air that can use 4k. I shouldn't use the extra weight and thickness of 14 to surf the Internet... Alas... But it does also drool 120hz miniled... Ah I also want the 12 inch MacBook, or a thinner MacBook Air, I find that now my need for a notebook is that it's enough to be able to tone photos when I go out and play...

    > If you really want to go up and down, then stop working... 5k is below, iMac is in the middle and above hhh > Don't buy 12 mini, 13mini users sincerely recommend 13mini, not to mention what 64G is enough for now... It's not without reason But I'm reluctant if the 13 mini doesn't have a high brush... Have to leave it behind... > It's enough to be able to color your photos when you go out and play... The i... iPad Pro...? Alas, I can only wait I hope apple can give me a 90hz air or 12-inch The m1 doesn't make any sense if it doesn't put it in 12 inches!!!!

@ Anonymous1575 > 5k is below iMac is in the middle and above hhh It's really quite reasonable, but I guess there is no adapter that can change the stand version of iMac to VESA.. > i... iPad Pro...? Originally, it was possible. For a while, m3 photos were basically produced only by adjusting the colors of iPad Pro. The problem is that iOS/macOS seems to be unable to recognize the RAW of r3a, and even preview images cannot be generated on macOS. After looking at the camera support list, there is r3 and no r3a, it's been a few months, and I don't know what apple is doing... According to the past two years Apple has completely de-Ive in appearance, I think it is difficult to have a 12-inch, and I can only wait to revise the air, although I really want a 12-inch MacBook. As for 90Hz, referring to the iPad product line, ProMotion has no intention of decentralizing it to non-Pro products at all, sigh

From the perspective of buying digital products alone, it is indeed a backward drive, making a very uncost-effective and poor purchase decision. The problem of "all new MacBook Pro customizations have to wait at least one month" can be solved as long as an order is placed on the launch day. After waiting for a week, you can slowly consider whether it is necessary. You've missed the best time to place an order. However, the equipment ultimately serves people, and it is good to feel that it can be used, or it can convince yourself that it is enough.

@ Anonymous1575 is sloppy, there is really a VESA adapter for iMac, place an order and see how it goes
  • Poster Oct 30, 2021
@ Anonymous2155 ? From the perspective of cost performance, the new MacBook Pro will not be considered at all. I wrote it quite clearly. The main bottleneck is memory. There is not a big gap between the M1 Mac mini I used before and the 2018 MacBook Pro. The gap is in memory. The biggest significance of M1 Pro/Max to me is that it supports 32/64 G memory. The problem is that the 14-inch low-end version is already the same as this iMac.

@ Poster > There is really a VESA adapter for iMac Didn't I say at first that arm that can install iMac is more expensive.... > The problem is that iOS/macOS doesn't seem to recognize the RAW of r3a, and even the preview image can't be generated on macOS. Looked at the camera support list, there is r3 and no r3a, it's been a few months, and I don't know what apple is doing... It's miserable... > I think 12-inch is hard to get, so I can only wait for the revised air It's really uncomfortable, it's too uncomfortable > As for 90Hz, referring to the iPad product line, ProMotion has no intention of decentralizing it to non-Pro products at all, sigh It's the general trend, it's hard to say. Look at px6 and px6p, just one is 90 and the other is 120, so it's hard to say... Just have to wait and see...

I have the 17 model, not to mention the performance, the only dissatisfaction is that sometimes the fan is loud. But as far as the shape is concerned, I think it's a gadget for home use. It's very beautiful and classic

I am a 24 inch iMac from vesa mount, using Ergotron LX, and I am quite satisfied with it.
