It's not a battle, just compare apple/Huawei/Garmin watches

I'm a fitness practitioner. I first bought a watch to exercise and lose weight: * I entered Garmin fenix3 in 15 years, and used it for more than 4 years * Switched to Apple Watch 4 in 2019 and used it until last year * I changed to AW9 at the beginning of this year and used it for several months * During this period, I briefly changed to Garmin 225 and Huawei Watch GT Runner * Huawei Watch GT3 Pro used in the last 2 months * Switched back to Garmin 255 today It just so happens that each brand uses at least 2 watches. Let's briefly compare some aspects that I care more about: * Battery life: Huawei GT series and Garmin are sufficient (more than a week), and AW is basically stable and charged once a day. * Smart: AW > Huawei > Garmin * Sports: Garmin > AW > Huawei * Accessories: AW straps, like other Apple products, are so rich that they can't pick from them, while Garmin and Huawei are relatively few * Wearing: 255 is as light as nothing when worn, fenix3 is heavy, Huawei GT3Pro is big, thick and heavy, AW is between 2 To summarize: Jiaming is a traditional watch with specialized sports and health functions. The only thing that has something to do with smart watches is the notification and reminder function, which is suitable for users who like sports and don't need the complicated functions of watches; AW is still the first choice for iPhone users. It has too many functions, smooth operation and powerful computing power, which is completely unmatched by other watches. But in terms of sports professionalism, I don't think it's very good, and there are many shortcomings: running loses heart rate, exercise reminder machinery (regardless of human function at all, recovery time, only mindlessly reminds exercise every day, and creates higher goals), data sharing relies on iOS ecosystem; There is also the battery life slot. I have never used the smart Pro series of Huawei, but the sports-oriented GT series (large bracelet). Subjectively speaking, even Huawei's flagship watch is not as good as the iPhone + AW. The biggest drawback is that it relies on Huawei Sports Health. This APP has so many advertisements as psoriasis, which makes you don't want to open it at all. The user experience can be said to be very uncomfortable. For me, I like the silky experience of iPhone + AW, but charging really dissuades me. I don't wear my watch at night and charge it. Sometimes after exercising for a while in the morning, only 30% of the battery is left in the afternoon. Battery anxiety is really difficult. Coupled with the basic mobile phone, it is rare to operate the watch for a long time and frequently. Therefore, no matter how good its performance is, how smooth the system is, and how powerful its functions are, it is difficult to get a "pleasant" experience on such a small screen. Isn't it good for me to play with my mobile phone? So after using AW9 for a few months, I replaced it with Huawei GT3Pro with better battery life. After using it for a few more months, I was very annoyed by Huawei's sports and health advertisements. I happened to see the promotion of Garmin 255 and directly switched back to Garmin. I feel okay so far, notification reminder + exercise is just what I need (other functions are basically none), coupled with the light wearing experience, I hope I can exercise and keep fit well

In addition, Jiaming's stress index is very easy to use. It will probably be all red before you get sick, but you may not have any feelings or symptoms at that time, but your body has actually begun to change, and it can detect it. I didn't feel the symptoms until the next day. For example, if you are about to catch a cold and fever, you will know it one day in advance.

I have to listen to music without my mobile phone, only AW, and everything else is negative. Those intelligent data, most ordinary people who exercise can just watch and play with them, so don't care about it. It is the right way to run happily and harmlessly.

@ Anonymous10208 Don't want to bring a mobile phone, and I don't want to miss calls... haha

@ Poster # 13 I remember that I bought a ticwatch from Mobvoi around 2017. I really had to search for stars for a long time before sports mode. After switching to Apple Watch, I forgot about it. It seems that Apple Watch directly shares mobile phones. GPS. I didn't expect Huawei to still need to search for stars now.

I use Garmin Instinct 2, which can last for a month with a single charge without stress. If I have outdoor activities on weekends, it will be no problem for 20 days. If you forget to bring your charging cable on your apple watch on a business trip, you can only use it on the first day:)

The main battery life of Apple Watch is rubbish. I don't even bring it with me now. I charge it every day. It's not as good as a Casio electronic watch

There is nothing wrong with Huawei watches, health apps are really stinking 😅 Logic confusion/advertisements flying all over the sky/embedded mall

The body power can be solved by the app. I use training today. The playability is much better than the power calculation of Garmin Machinery

Both AW8 and HW GT3P have been used for a long time. Finally, I sold AW and continued to use the GT3. For me, the main problem is that the AW battery is too defective. My personal usage habits prefer that the watch has no sense of existence. Except for charging, I always use it to receive notifications and answer calls. The phone is silent all day. AW takes it off to charge every day often makes me forget to charge it and put it back on... The GT3 is basically charged once a week. Another problem is that the NFC key of the garbage tram/garbage door lock at home does not support apple devices. AW cannot be brushed, and the IP of the mobile phone cannot adapt to this NFC situation. Only GT3 can make up for this NFC defect. Currently, bus access control keys are all obtained by GT3 NFC.

I really can't complain about advertising. I originally wanted to switch to Android, but after a few days of experiencing the built-in application advertisements of various systems of VIVO and OPPO, there are really a lot of advertisements. The negative screen, theme store, drop-down in-machine search can only be on Baidu, etc. I really can't stand it

I'm using Garmin, I've used AW, and I personally feel that sports health Garmin is enough. Look at the time and decorate directly quartz/mechanical watch, smart... A mobile phone is enough, I won't leave my body anyway

Huawei gtrunner feels very light to wear. Is the 225 even lighter? I can wear it on a daily basis, and it can also be used for running. The light battery life is also good.

    @ Anonymous8568 # 21 Which one has this feature?
  • Anonymous2667 May 22, 2024
    @ Anonymous10213 # 34 should be this https://support.garmin.com/en-US/? faq = WT9BmhjacO4ZpxbCc0EKn9

AW has nothing to do with sports. What kind of sports do you do for battery life? Marathons will run out of battery, and AW will estimate your movement, and it can even generate fake data,,, Running recommendations Huawei GTR < Gaochi PACE3 < Garmin 265,
  • Anonymous10214 May 22, 2024
@ Anonymous10214 added: If you are purely running and plan to marathon PB, I only recommend Gaochi PACE3

@ Anonymous3399 vivo is okay, basically it can be completely turned off. No other brands can do

I'm using Garmin instinct, which directly supports the ANT + protocol and connects to the bicycle's code meter, and has a battery life of up to 20 days.

    @ Anonymous10214 Isn't 265 better than pace3 for horse racing?
