It's not a battle, just compare apple/Huawei/Garmin watches

I'm a fitness practitioner. I first bought a watch to exercise and lose weight: * I entered Garmin fenix3 in 15 years, and used it for more than 4 years * Switched to Apple Watch 4 in 2019 and used it until last year * I changed to AW9 at the beginning of this year and used it for several months * During this period, I briefly changed to Garmin 225 and Huawei Watch GT Runner * Huawei Watch GT3 Pro used in the last 2 months * Switched back to Garmin 255 today It just so happens that each brand uses at least 2 watches. Let's briefly compare some aspects that I care more about: * Battery life: Huawei GT series and Garmin are sufficient (more than a week), and AW is basically stable and charged once a day. * Smart: AW > Huawei > Garmin * Sports: Garmin > AW > Huawei * Accessories: AW straps, like other Apple products, are so rich that they can't pick from them, while Garmin and Huawei are relatively few * Wearing: 255 is as light as nothing when worn, fenix3 is heavy, Huawei GT3Pro is big, thick and heavy, AW is between 2 To summarize: Jiaming is a traditional watch with specialized sports and health functions. The only thing that has something to do with smart watches is the notification and reminder function, which is suitable for users who like sports and don't need the complicated functions of watches; AW is still the first choice for iPhone users. It has too many functions, smooth operation and powerful computing power, which is completely unmatched by other watches. But in terms of sports professionalism, I don't think it's very good, and there are many shortcomings: running loses heart rate, exercise reminder machinery (regardless of human function at all, recovery time, only mindlessly reminds exercise every day, and creates higher goals), data sharing relies on iOS ecosystem; There is also the battery life slot. I have never used the smart Pro series of Huawei, but the sports-oriented GT series (large bracelet). Subjectively speaking, even Huawei's flagship watch is not as good as the iPhone + AW. The biggest drawback is that it relies on Huawei Sports Health. This APP has so many advertisements as psoriasis, which makes you don't want to open it at all. The user experience can be said to be very uncomfortable. For me, I like the silky experience of iPhone + AW, but charging really dissuades me. I don't wear my watch at night and charge it. Sometimes after exercising for a while in the morning, only 30% of the battery is left in the afternoon. Battery anxiety is really difficult. Coupled with the basic mobile phone, it is rare to operate the watch for a long time and frequently. Therefore, no matter how good its performance is, how smooth the system is, and how powerful its functions are, it is difficult to get a "pleasant" experience on such a small screen. Isn't it good for me to play with my mobile phone? So after using AW9 for a few months, I replaced it with Huawei GT3Pro with better battery life. After using it for a few more months, I was very annoyed by Huawei's sports and health advertisements. I happened to see the promotion of Garmin 255 and directly switched back to Garmin. I feel okay so far, notification reminder + exercise is just what I need (other functions are basically none), coupled with the light wearing experience, I hope I can exercise and keep fit well

Apple Watch is very difficult to use when riding a bike, and its functions related to judgment of movement status & recording timing & travel and trajectory are very frustrated. It often does not record-> it has stopped moving for a long time and still records-> the length is recorded but there is no path All kinds of wonderful problems

For pure running, I recommend Gaochi PACE 3, for cycling or running + cycling, choose Garmin, and for light exercise (close the exercise ring every day) choose Apple. As for the watches produced by other mobile phone manufacturers, don't touch them. It's better to buy a bracelet directly. Huami has never been used, no comment

I have used several Android watches and bracelets. As long as it has an all-weather screen display and a detection function similar to that of AW, all functions are fully pulled to the same frequency and intensity as AW (many Android watches turn off or reduce some detection items by default) frequency), turn on AOD, and the battery life is half as good as that of Apple Watch Ultra. If you care about the experience and battery life of the iPhone, then buy the Ultra. If you want long battery life, then buy an Android watch bracelet and sacrifice a little experience in terms of experience and testing. Garmin is not strictly a smart watch, but an outdoor sports watch with Bluetooth function. The core design ideas are different

Does AW 9 use 30% of the battery in the afternoon...? My AW 6 battery is 82% healthy and the always-on display is turned on. I exercise for about 40 minutes every day, and there is still 25% power around 11 pm

I'm okay with the Apple Watch ultra. I also wear sleep detection and morning alarm clock when I sleep. I just throw it away when I take a shower at night and charge it before going to bed (the fast charge is quickly charged, and the ultra looks down on me and turns off at 80% every time), no battery life anxiety.. hhh

I think the bracelet can meet my needs, that is, recording during fitness

About 1 hour of iron rolling every day, running for half a horse at the longest, and swimming occasionally. Let's talk about a few problems with the apple watch ultra. 1. The built-in sports app is too poor. This can be solved with workoutdoors. This third-party app is still very strong. It is very convenient to run after customizing the data options yourself. Second, ten thousand years of battery problem, I basically charge it every night now, but this means that sleep monitoring is meaningless. 3. Most touch screens do not operate well, and the current use of action button is also limited. 4. Useful indicators such as heart rate variability are missing. Some countries and regions can activate atrial fibrillation monitoring to partially realize this function, but not in China. And even if there is a little data, there is only one number, so you have to analyze it yourself. Unlike Garmin, which can be reflected directly through the stress index in a more understandable way, etc. Let's talk about a few advantages: 1. Compared with sports watches, the appearance is still more suitable for daily wear. Second, Apple Health is very good. Some brothers above said that the data of various apps and devices can be gathered together and then synchronized with each other. My body fat scale every morning will directly write the data into Apple Health, and then other sports apps will It will be calculated according to the new weight. (But it seems that Garmin's Connect can't read Apple's healthy weight data...) 3. Cooperation with Apple's ecology, daily unlocking of mobile phones and computers, media control... Generally speaking, Apple belongs to smart watches and Garmin belongs to sports watches. Both are getting closer to each other but there is still a distance. Which one is not absolutely good or bad to choose. When you can't want both, you still depend on your own bias...

If it is only for weight loss monitoring exercise, not a professional, it is meaningless to require so high accuracy, but it is ease of use and more important

I have very low requirements. I have been using a bracelet. I switched to a Huawei GTRunner in the last year. The price of a new brand is more than 600 yuan. The price/performance ratio is invincible

When I was Yang before, I found out that I was Yang by relying on the pressure prompt of my Garmin watch. Now I get up every day to look at my resting heart rate last night. Garmin's semi-transparent and semi-reflective screen can easily see the dial information without backlight and strong light (disadvantages are poor color and low resolution, and the new 265 seems to be amoled). Garmin's app is also more professional. There is also Jiaming's sports community "Good Speed", which is equivalent to a specialized sports circle of friends. It is more appropriate to punch in it-you can't put it on WeChat circle of friends every day to send how long and how far it takes-but it's quite appropriate to send it in "Good Speed".

@ Anonymous9774 # 65 Just turn off optimization in Battery-Battery Health on the watch. It turned on for me after a certain update, and I had enough so I left it unturned.

I am using Garmin 255, I have been using it for almost a year and a half
  • Anonymous12645 May 23, 2024
In fact, I don't think there is any comparison. aw is purely part of Apple's ecosystem. It is more comfortable to use and has a stronger sense of daily linkage
  • Anonymous10342 May 23, 2024
I read a foreign blogger's review and comparison of heart rate. The Huawei GT3 pro is the most accurate, and the apple watch can also work. Garmin, a professional runner, is not in the first echelon in heart rate accuracy.
  • Anonymous10343 May 23, 2024
Yes, I have used AW and Huawei. It's really painful to lose my heart rate when running in AW. Now the battery capacity is not good. If I ride a bike for a long time, it will almost turn off in the evening. Huawei's app is so disgusting. It's a standard domestic app with everything stuffed into it, and there are so many advertisements like psoriasis. I've never used Garmin before, I'm going to change my next watch to Garmin

I never understood why watches need to be smart like Apple watches. Isn't health monitoring + sports functions + message notifications enough, and I need ultra-high battery life. Anyway, I definitely look disgusted when the apple watch is charged once a day. Now the 255s I currently use is charged every 6 days, and I find it charging frequently. I will change it when the Instinct 3 solar version is released. Another useful function of Garmin for cycling enthusiasts is the heart rate push of ant protocol, which is directly linked with the code meter and does not require a special heart rate belt. Moreover, Garmin's heart rate is very accurate.
  • Anonymous10345 May 23, 2024
At the same time, I am using apple watch ultra 2 + fenix 7 pro + Garmin heart rate belt. The difference between the heart rate aw and the heart rate band is within 0.5%, but aw occasionally does not measure the heart rate during exercise, which is very painful. Garmin's problem is the distance delivery. The standard playground does not turn on automatic lap recording when running laps. 400 meters can record 20-40 meters more. Garmin group friends run aw6 kilometers and Garmin 7 kilometers, which is also very painful. If you have the opportunity, try it to Gaochi

@ Anonymous10007 How do you have the illusion that Huawei can... It seems that the investment in Xuanfa is really useful ----- Several people on AW said that you can charge it in a shower.. I take a shower and charge up to half of it. Could it be that I wash too fast...

I am using 255. Ordinary people do exercise occasionally. I recommend not buying Garmin. The texture of Garmin 255 is too bad. It's just a big piece of plastic + gray screen + 5 stupid buttons. The texture of Huawei GT4 is much better than that of 255. Garmin's advantage is that algorithm, but once the freshness is over, who will look at that pile of numbers
  • Anonymous11692 May 23, 2024
It seems that they are all fitness people. When I buy aw, it is just a decoration. It is a new experience to buy a watch strap and change the dial every once in a while.
