New iPhone won't activate FaceTime and iMessage, China Telecom

by Poster Mar 21, 2025 64
I would like to ask all v friends. I just recently switched to 16e. On the old mobile phone 12, both China Telecom and China Telecom can use FaceTime and iMessage normally. On the new mobile phone, China Telecom's FaceTime and iMessage cannot be activated. After chatting with customer service and eliminating various problems, it is determined that it is the operator. The problem, the operator does not acknowledge the problem. The theory with customer service has not been opened for a day. I have complained to the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and are waiting for the result. Do you guys have any clues? (I have roughly looked through all the information on the Internet, and it seems to be related to anti-fraud) If it doesn't work, I have to transfer my number to the network

Sometimes it gets better after a while, or it happens if it is activated too often.

Go to the telecom APP to see if international roaming is turned on. I can't activate it even if I change my phone. It will work the next day after turning it on.

Depending on the region, Chengdu Telecom said it has already started to block it

The problem with the operator, I moved it, and it was solved after communicating with customer service ~

Similarly, Sichuan Telecom has not been successfully activated for 2 years, and it is also suspected that it has been blocked. International roaming has been opened.

It should be that the operator has blocked the activated international text messages. I went to China Telecom before, but refused to admit it. I read that there are many complaints to the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology on the Internet, but most of them should still not be activated

I feel that I really don't need too many moths in telecommunications.

There is a high probability that the operator will be very tough. Don't turn off what can be used now. If it is turned off, it can no longer be activated (telecom in some areas)

Last year, it blocked me for more than half a year and I couldn't open it. Later, I opened international SMS reception, and then it was successfully opened a week later China Telecom

It doesn't matter, almost no one uses it anyway, they are all using WeChat, and there is a high probability that opening it will also give scammers a chance

There was nothing to drive, and it ended up being a machine that was sent spam messages. If the other party is not imessage, it will be converted to ordinary text messages, and you have to pay the text message fee. The other party won't reply to you yet, so why bother? Of course, if you don't have to open it, but you must have it, then let's toss it.

There is also the requirement of telecom roaming abroad to change a new card. It is not clear whether not changing a new card will affect sending and receiving overseas short messages.
