Is 24-inch 4K a false proposition?

Before I bought it, I thought the actual effect of 24-inch 4k would be significantly better than that of 27-inch 4k
In fact, because this panel is too niche, the 24-inch 4k panel is not fully rolled, and its color and response are significantly weaker than the 27-inch 4k panel at the same price.
The resolution of this size is fine for macOS, but the support for some Windows hosts is not good.
To sum up, the sharpness of the font is not as big as the 27-inch 5k and 27-inch 4k, with both color and response
Verdict: I sort of regret it
24-inch 4k monitor model: ViewSonic VG2481-4k
Compare cheaper 27-inch 4k monitor models: Redmi 27-inch 4k (USB-C)

Poster May 27, 2025@ Anonymous544 has horizontal lines. Whether it is macOS or not, the screen is under windows, and the sliding color will change. In short, I think 24-inch 4k is really not good.

Anonymous454 May 27, 2025Due to niche demand, the price/performance ratio is not high

Anonymous10159 May 27, 2025I thought only Internet cafes would buy this brand of monitor

Anonymous535 May 27, 2025@ Anonymous545 # 21 The quality control is average. The first one I bought had a suspected bad spot on the screen. I asked the customer service of the self-operated store in JD.COM. The customer service said that it was not a bad spot, but a foreign object caused by the quality control problem. I replaced it with a new one, and there was no problem after the replacement.

Anonymous10669 May 28, 2025The landlord is crazy (just kidding), just dry 27 4K quack fragrance, just like the above mentioned, buying a 24-inch 4K just for the 24-inch ppi to meet Apple's definition of retina screen would be too overwhelming.

Anonymous830 May 28, 20254K costs at least 27

Anonymous831 May 28, 2025@ Anonymous10669 24-inch retina-compliant resolution is 4.5 K, not 4K.

Anonymous833 May 28, 2025The best experience around 24 inches is the iMac's 4.5 k

Anonymous835 May 28, 202527 barely has the demand for 4k, 27 can go down 2k

Poster May 28, 2025@ Anonymous10669 24-inch 4k doesn't fit Apple's definition, 24-inch iMac is also 4.5 k

Anonymous836 May 28, 2025I bought a ViewSonic 4K 24-inch monitor 10 years ago. The panel is neither ips nor va. It is a very niche panel, but this thing needs to be compared to make a difference. There is no comparison monitor next to it. Generally speaking, there is no difference. Now I have added a miniled 27-inch 4K monitor. Although the color is much better than the original one, I don't retouch pictures or make videos. In daily use, I even feel that the color of the original one is more comfortable.

Anonymous837 May 28, 2025I have used the P2415Q for a long time and feel quite good. Personally, I feel that it is closest to the Retina effect. But it is true that the display area is too small. Later, I simply bought a hairtail screen. At first, I thought the granularity was too obvious, but after a long time, I got used to it.

Anonymous708 May 28, 2025The existence is reasonable, the size of the mobile phone is 4k, let alone 27 inches

Anonymous10073 May 28, 2025The main reason for buying a 24-inch model is that the desktop space is too small. Try to choose 27. The 27-inch 4k screen is certainly not as good as a notebook screen, but it is not so impossible to watch But if you get used to the 27-inch 5k, it's really terrible to look back It depends on whether your eyes are picky I'm used to the company's 27-inch 4k. Just make do with it... 24-inch 4.5 k is suitable, 27-inch 5k is suitable, this will be more delicate

Anonymous838 May 28, 202524-inch 4K, 200% UI zoom under windows, the equivalent ppi is super close to 96, the best size I bought one before, the secondary screen is vertical, specializing in reading web pages, reading comics and writing code

Anonymous22 May 28, 2025I bought a 27-inch 4k and it is very comfortable to use according to the default zoom of Mac. Except that at first I felt that the icon text was a bit big, later I got used to the big characters and my eyes felt much more comfortable.
