Is 24-inch 4K a false proposition?

Before I bought it, I thought the actual effect of 24-inch 4k would be significantly better than that of 27-inch 4k In fact, because this panel is too niche, the 24-inch 4k panel is not fully rolled, and its color and response are significantly weaker than the 27-inch 4k panel at the same price. The resolution of this size is fine for macOS, but the support for some Windows hosts is not good. To sum up, the sharpness of the font is not as big as the 27-inch 5k and 27-inch 4k, with both color and response Verdict: I sort of regret it 24-inch 4k monitor model: ViewSonic VG2481-4k Compare cheaper 27-inch 4k monitor models: Redmi 27-inch 4k (USB-C)

@ Anonymous536 is biased. I have two 27-inch 4K side by side. I have been using them for a long time, and I am very used to using them.

When I was a child: the same number of pixels, the smaller the size, the more valuable it is Now: You see, IPHONE MAX is more expensive than PRO!

@ Anonymous540 Looking at the operating system, it's actually quite good under Windows. Except that some UIs have not been adapted and optimized, the fonts are sharp. There is a difference under macOS. The 24-inch 4k font looks a little solid, but the quality of the panel is too poor and it doesn't feel meaningful.

@ Anonymous708 exists, which is reasonable. Nowadays, 4K mobile phones have this screen. There is no difference between 1080 and 4K at all. Turn on 4K resolution storage fee gadgets

I don't know why I bought such a small one

I use Samsung 4k32 inch at company and LG4k48 inch at home, both of which are connected to macbook In fact, the panel and training are very important. The two brands you mentioned are miscellaneous brands. If you change to a first-line brand, you will have different feelings

I just changed from 24 to 27 4k. I'm not used to it. I think it's too big and the font scaling is uncomfortable

24-inch 4k is the best, but most 4k on the market are 27-inch. I bought one before, and the 27-inch is too big

@ Anonymous9529 is so old... But I suspect that many monitors in small factories are also made of ancient panels, so the display effect is so unsatisfactory @ Anonymous712 I'm 27 inch + 24 inch, so it's quite comfortable to match. The 27 inch can be placed a little further.

No, when using 4K, it is usually scaled to 1080P. In fact, this problem depends entirely on the distance you use the screen. The table is deep enough, and it is quite good to use a 27-inch or even 32-inch one. If you use it on your face, the 27-inch font is very old, and adjusting it to 2k is not an integer multiple scaling. In this case, it is indeed more appropriate to adjust the 24-inch font to 1080P.

I remember that about 3 years ago, because the company didn't have a monitor, but the notebook screen was too small, it was really inconvenient, so I decided to buy a monitor out of my own pocket and put it in the company. Because I haven't learned about relevant information for many years, online recommendations say that FHD is enough for office work, so I bought an FHD. I don't remember how big it is, but the high probability is 21.5. After buying it, I found that it was confused no matter how I looked at it. I always felt that something was wrong. After tossing for a long time, I couldn't solve it. Finally, I had to return it and bought Dell's P2415Q. Well, it's clear and comfortable. It turns out that my eyes can't accept low resolution anymore, 😂.

The PPI of 27-inch 5K is better than that of 24-inch 4K, so choosing 27-inch 5K can solve the problem.

The main advantages are the table size and Windows 200% zoom. As a demand for these two points, I have already bought two 24-inch 4K pieces But it is true that too few people buy it. Personally, I think Windows users are not motivated enough to buy high-resolution screens, and 27-inch 4K is already a good choice for both large size and Mac HiDPI, so customers mainly buy 27-inch 4K Therefore, the 24-inch 4K leads to insufficient low price. For example, the problems mentioned above with AOC U24P10R are basically true, and the cheaper ViewSonic VA2462-4K has no other advantages except 4K

    I have calculated PPI before, 27-inch 4K > 24-inch 2K > > 24-inch 1080P ≈ 27-inch 2K

There are too few good panels, so it is recommended to buy the 4k160hz one. The latest one from Redmi is good.

It's true, my LG UltraFine 24-inch 4K is quite fun whether it's macOS office or gaming. (I only use 2k resolution to play games)
  • Anonymous718 May 28, 2025
Those who buy 24 are all for the vertical screen. 2 27 side by side take up too much space
